Good neighbours are not so hard to find

I rotate between early morning shifts and late night shifts at work. Most of the time I'm left feeling exhausted and my husband works out of town often so things like mowing the lawn aren't done on a regular basis. Then one afternoon I heard a knock on my door. I was reluctant to answer with a bad migraine a few hours before I had to get ready for another evening shift. The man introduced himself as my neighbour who lived in the house behind me. He asked if he could mow my lawn which was beginning to grow out of control. I may have given him a weird look because I couldn't understand why someone would want to volunteer to do all that work on a hot summer day. He told me that he knows what it's like to do shift work and just wanted to lend a hand. He even bagged up all the clippings and took it with him. He didn't want to be paid for it and didn't want anything in return. He is genuinely one of the nicest people I've met. So I'd like to give a shout out to Will. Thank you for the kindness you showed me. You truly are a man who was raised right and who is continuing to pass that down by setting such a great example for your kiddos! Well done, sir!
