Two years ago, I opened an animal rescue for all animals, as I saw a need for more space and more opportunity for neonatal veterinary medicine to grow. I told my pet groomer, Mel LeBlanc of Homestyle Pet Grooming about it and she was enthusiastic. Since then she has dedicated countless hours of free grooming to these animals as well as the pets of low-income people, learned how to groom & cut the nails of exotics, bunnies, guinea pigs, even bearded dragons! And at no point have I ever heard her say something judgmental or awful about anyone who has come to her needing help to get their animal companion back into comfort and health. She is an amazing, giving woman.
