Hotels Red Deer releases dynamic new video

Red Deer Hotels has gone all in with the official launch of a powerful new video to draw organizations and people, from near and far, to book and attend conferences and other events in our community - a video that showcases Red Deer for all to see.

The video is Red Deer to its core. It is Red Deer people, Red Deer places, Red Deer sports, streets and skylines – it is our connected community, ready to connect with the world.

"We are proud of both our well-known and home-grown Red Deer hotels. Each of them knows how to take our visitors from the guest-room to the boardroom. With 2,500 hotel room options and meeting spaces for 10 to 10,000 people, we are one of the few destinations to offer delegates a memorable experience without the high cost associated with events held in other cities," said Karen Kitchen, Business Development Manager, Hotels Red Deer.

Hotels Red Deer started in 2010 with a small group of hotel owners and general managers who banded together to create a destination marketing fund for Red Deer. A voluntary one per cent fee from each of their properties was created to draw more visitors to not only those member hotels, but to the rest of the community, allowing all of Red Deer to benefit.

The group advanced efforts by establishing a full time employee for business development who could now market head-to-head with other destinations in Alberta and Canada. The position allows Hotels Red Deer to move farther and faster with its market and growth plans for its hotels and the city as a whole.

Now representing 14 hotels and venues, Hotels Red Deer is embarking on its most aggressive marketing year yet. In addition to producing the new video, the group has refocused its brand, established enticing booking incentives, and completed the groundwork to relaunch in February its own website,

"This video is a powerful tool to let the world know about Red Deer,” said Kitchen. "Its dynamic images of our people, our activities, our spirit, uncovers all our community has to offer – from a day at the ballfield to a night out on the town. It is Red Deer at its vibrant best."
