Xplore Sport Day is an opportunity for our local sport organizations to come together with the community to discover the many sport and recreation pursuits available to Red Deerians.
For the first time, Central Sport is hosting Xplore Sport Day at the Collicutt Centre! This event will showcase over 30 local sport and service organizations and will be an opportunity for Red Deerians to gather information, ask questions or maybe even try out the sports they are curious about.
Under Central Sport’s leadership, Xplore Sport is taking on a new feel this year with Xplore Sport 365. This encourages the community to Xplore new options to them 365 days of the year, with the event on August 24 showcasing this new approach.
Date: Saturday, August 24
Time: 12 – 4 p.m.
Location: Collicutt Centre, 3031 30 Avenue, Red Deer
Who: Everyone! There are sport and activity opportunities for all ages and abilities
What can you expect?
Local organizations will have booths set up throughout the mallway of the Collicutt Centre. You can visit these organizations, ask questions and gather information about numerous local organizations like ski jumping, fencing, boxing, tennis, ringette, pickleball, sledge hockey, swimming, gymnastics and so much more. Many of these organizations are also hosting try-it sessions on location – so you can experience something new while you’re there!
